Jane Seymour is a name that embodies elegance, talent and timeless beauty in the entertainment industry. At 73 years old, she has captivated audiences for decades with her remarkable performances in a variety of roles.
In addition to her illustrious career as an actress, Seymour is also a successful author and devoted mother. Her journey as a mother has been full of challenges and joys, especially in raising her twin sons.
The actress, who has been married and divorced four times, is the proud mother of Katherine, 42, and Sean Flynn, 39, from her marriage to David Flynn. She also has twin sons John Stacy and Kristopher Steven, 28, with filmmaker James Keach.
Seymour has spoken openly about her struggles on the road to motherhood. In an interview with People, she recounted how in vitro fertilization resulted in two miscarriages, which almost caused her and her then-husband to give up hope. However, her third pregnancy at age 44 was a success and resulted in the birth of her twin sons.
The twins were born six weeks early by emergency Caesarean section due to pre-eclampsia, which presented her with a lot of challenges from the start. In an interview with Loose Women, she said of the difficult experience: “I almost died giving birth and the babies almost died too”.
Despite the risks, Seymour does not regret her decision to have children and affirms: “I am very happy I had them”. The first few days were particularly critical, as both boys required close monitoring for health reasons. At one point, Johnny even turned blue when he got home, which required another hospital visit to closely monitor his breathing and swallowing.
To ensure she could fully participate in her children’s lives, Seymour made choices that allowed her to include her children in her work. As they grew, the twins formed a strong bond and often shared a crib and later a bed.
Recently, Seymour delighted her fans with a touching photo of herself and her now grown-up twin sons, who have grown up and are now big and handsome. Comments poured in, praising both the boys and their mother: “I love this Jane. The boys are so handsome and you look beautiful”, wrote one fan. Others added: “Two handsome men! And a beautiful mother!” and “Your boys are handsome”.
