Barbra Streisand says she “can’t live in this country” if this happens

Barbra Streisand, an icon of Hollywood, recently took a bold stance in defense of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, accusing conservatives of orchestrating a smear campaign aimed at tarnishing her professional reputation with personal attacks.

In a post on her social media platform, the renowned singer and actress asserted that Willis’ only transgression was desiring a private relationship with Nathan Wade, a subordinate prosecutor involved in the investigation of Trump and 18 co-defendants charged with racketeering linked to Georgia’s 2020 election outcomes.

Streisand derided the efforts of Republicans calling for Willis’ dismissal, questioning the absurdity of penalizing a woman for seeking to balance her personal and professional life, a feat routinely achieved by men. She emphasized that the focus should remain on Willis’ role as a prosecutor in holding Trump accountable for his alleged attempts to undermine the electoral process in Georgia.

The singer emphasized that the attacks against Willis were merely distractions orchestrated by Trump and his allies to divert attention from the substantive issues at hand, including Trump’s alleged coercion of state officials to manipulate election results in his favor.

In Streisand’s view, Willis’ personal relationship with a colleague should not overshadow her dedication to upholding the rule of law and pursuing justice, particularly in a case as significant as the one involving Trump and his associates.
