The American soap opera “Dynasty” thrilled audiences around the world in the 1980s with its gripping drama and the complex relationships between characters such as Blake Carrington, his wife Krystle Carrington, their children and Blake’s ex-wife Alexis. The saga of the wealthy Carrington family kept thousands in front of their screens and made the actors of “Dynasty” household names. Many still cherish the memories of this cult series today.

Looking back on her career, Evans once said: “This role was the answer to a prayer. I had just separated from my second husband and was unsure about my future. I had never planned to be an actress; I wanted to be a wife and mother. But at 39, I decided to pursue my career and soon after, ‘Dynasty’ came along”.
Evans found a kindred spirit in Krystle who put love above wealth and embodied the same desires Evans had in her own life. Before her fame in “Dynasty”, Evans had already made a name for herself as “Audra” in the 1960s western series “The Big Valley” alongside Barbara Stanwyck.
After the series ended, Evans faced personal challenges, including depression following the illness of loved ones. In a 2016 interview, she described this time: “My life was in shambles. I was struggling to understand my depression and my health was suffering”.

Although she retired from acting after 1997, Evans made a remarkable comeback in 2021 in the film “Swan Song”. “I love that film”, she said. “It’s remarkable to still be working at 78, but as I always say: ‘Anything is possible'”.
Now 81 years old, Evans continues to inspire fans and remind us of the lasting legacy of Dynasty and its beloved characters.
