A change can be refreshing, whether it’s updating a dull hairstyle or revamping a tired wardrobe. For Rosa Ramirez, an American woman, the time for a transformation arrived after 25 years without a haircut.
Her hair had grown so long that she occasionally tripped over it. Although her husband had often encouraged her to try a new look, she took pride in her impressive 1.5-meter-long locks. Eventually, she decided it was time for a change and visited a hairdresser with friends, opting for a shoulder-length cut.
Eda Motchka, the salon owner, shared with WXYZ-TV Detroit: “We love seeing different styles on our clients. It’s refreshing to meet someone who embraces change”.
Rosa’s decision was driven by a noble cause. She donated 4 feet of her hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit that provides wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer. “I hope it brings some joy to a sick child”, she remarked.
