Dolly Parton shares a deeply emotional tribute to the late legend Kris Kristofferson

Fans, fellow artists, and co-stars have united in honoring the legendary Grammy-winning country singer and actor Kris Kristofferson, who passed away at 88.

Kristofferson, celebrated for his achievements in both the music industry and film, peacefully passed away at his home in Maui on Saturday, surrounded by loved ones.

Barbra Streisand, who shared the screen with Kristofferson in the Oscar-winning 1976 film A Star Is Born, expressed her heartfelt condolences on Instagram. She shared: “The first time I saw Kris perform at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, I knew he was someone special. With his guitar and barefoot presence, he seemed like the perfect person for a project I was working on, which later became A Star Is Born”.

Reba McEntire praised Kristofferson’s character, describing him as a “gentleman, kind soul, and a lover of words”. Many who admired his artistry and humanity echoed similar sentiments.

Dolly Parton, mourning the loss of her “great friend”, reflected on their musical collaborations, including the beloved duets “From Here to the Moon and Back” and “Put It Off Until Tomorrow”.
