At just ten years old, Bjarne wowed the judges of The Voice Kids Germany with his rendition of Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved”. Last month, this young talent performed with an impressive display of vocal ability that belied his age. Although he entered the stage with a stuffed rabbit in his hand, his voice revealed a depth and maturity that amazed everyone.
As Bjarne began to sing, he showed a deep, resonant lower register that transitioned seamlessly into a stunning high range. Before he even reached the chorus, one of the judges could wait no longer and pressed the buzzer, sparking an enthusiastic response from Bjarne’s family who were on stage with him. As Bjarne began the chorus, all four judges had turned their chairs to ensure his performance was celebrated.
But Bjarne had more to offer. He brought emotion to the final note before the bridge, leaving judge Lena Meyer-Landrut in awe; she was so impressed that she had trouble closing her dropped jaw. Meyer-Landrut later described his voice as producing “heavenly sounds”.
The audition was a standout moment, with the judges flocking to the stage to congratulate Bjarne. Meyer-Landrut couldn’t contain her excitement and hugged him joyfully. Both Bjarne and his mother were visibly touched by the experience. Later, judge Álvaro Soler accompanied Bjarne in a duet of Tom Odell’s “Another Love Song”, adding to the unforgettable moments of the day.
