Kate Middleton’s recent revelation has brought about a somber tone, as the Princess of Wales disclosed her battle with cancer in a heartfelt video message released on Friday.
In her message, Middleton recounted that during her abdominal surgery, the initial belief was that her condition was non-cancerous. However, subsequent tests following the surgery unveiled the presence of cancer.
“This news naturally came as a tremendous shock, and William and I have been navigating this journey as privately as possible, especially for the sake of our young family”, shared Kate, who is 42 years old. “As one can imagine, it has been a process. Recovering from major surgery was just the beginning, as I now embark on my treatment.”
While the specific type of cancer was not disclosed by Middleton, she did mention commencing “preventative chemotherapy” in February.
