Italian pianist Patrizio Ratto surprises the America’s Got Talent judges with an unexpected performance

When Patrizio Ratto took the stage for his America’s Got Talent audition in 2019, it seemed like a typical piano performance. The shy and nervous Italian pianist began with a straightforward rendition of Beethoven’s “Für Elise,” which initially didn’t seem to impress the judges.

However, Ratto quickly surprised everyone when he slowed down the piece and added an unexpected electronic hip-hop beat. While continuing to play with one hand, he used the other to groove along, confusing Simon Cowell and the audience.

Then, in an unexpected twist, Ratto discarded his piano stool and jacket and began an energetic, mechanical dance. The audience was captivated by his incredible speed and agility as he performed impressive jumps and turns.

The audition transformed from a simple piano performance into an exciting and dynamic dance spectacle. Patrizio Ratto’s audition has now garnered over 9 million views on YouTube, proving that talent can often exceed expectations and surprise us in unexpected ways.
