She embarked on her much-anticipated anniversary tour after recovering from a serious bacterial infection that left her hospitalized earlier this year.
Recent photos of the “Like a Virgin” icon have garnered rapturous applause from her loyal fans, reinforcing the notion that age is just a number and highlighting her continued influence in the world of music.
Fans had good reason to worry this summer when Madonna was suddenly hospitalized. Initial reports were alarming and it quickly became clear that her health problem was more serious than initially thought.
The legendary artist was scheduled to kick off her highly anticipated Celebration Tour on July 15 in Vancouver, performing a setlist of her biggest hits from 1983 to the present across 53 shows in North America and Europe. However, she was forced to postpone her tour after being hospitalized with a bacterial infection.
According to reports, Madonna was found unconscious on June 24 and immediately taken to a New York hospital where she had to be intubated.
Shortly afterward, a family member told Entertainment Tonight that they were “preparing for the worst” following the alarming news. “For a few days there was uncertainty about her condition and her family was preparing for the worst”, they revealed. “That’s why it was kept secret since Saturday. Everyone was worried she wasn’t going to make it and that was the reality they were faced with.”
Radar Online reported that the situation was worse than initially thought. Medical staff administered a NARCAN injection to revive her at home. Fortunately, Madonna was discharged and has been recovering at home ever since. Her victory tour has earned her much admiration for her appearance, especially after she shared a series of stunning photos from the tour.
The Paris part of her tour attracted a lot of attention. Her fans showered her with compliments. One of them called her “the most beautiful woman in the world”. The famous fashion designer Donatella Versace also praised her long-time friend and called her “the most beautiful”.
