Celine Dion, born in Charlemagne, Quebec in 1968, is considered one of Canada’s most famous international singers. The Bee Gees, the iconic group formed in 1958 by siblings Maurice, Robin and Barry Gibb, are known for their exceptional songwriting and production skills. They made music for a variety of artists, including Dion.
One of her notable contributions was the song “Immortality”, written specifically for Dion. Released as a single in 1998, it quickly climbed the charts in Europe, securing a top ten placement and reaching number five in the UK. The creation of “Immortality” was not without hurdles; Barry and Maurice Gibb had to stop their work before returning to complete the track in a remarkably short time.
“Immortality” was featured on Dion’s 1997 album Let’s Talk About Love, with the Gibb brothers also providing backing vocals.
