She embarked on her much-anticipated celebratory tour after recovering from a serious bacterial infection that landed her in hospital earlier this year.
Recent photos of the “Like a Virgin” icon have garnered enthusiastic acclaim from her devoted fanbase, reinforcing the notion that age is merely a number and highlighting her enduring influence in the music realm.
Fans had valid reasons for concern during the summer when Madonna was suddenly admitted to the hospital. Initial reports were alarming, and it quickly became evident that her health issue was more serious than first assumed.
The legendary performer was scheduled to kick off her highly anticipated Celebration Tour in Vancouver on July 15, featuring a setlist of her greatest hits from 1983 to the present across 53 shows in North America and Europe. However, she had to postpone due to being rushed to the hospital with a bacterial infection.
Reports indicated that Madonna was found unresponsive on June 24 and was immediately taken to a New York City hospital, where she required intubation.
Soon after, a family member shared with Entertainment Tonight that they were “preparing for the worst” following the alarming news. “For a couple of days, there was uncertainty about her condition, and her family was bracing for the worst”, they revealed. “That’s why it was kept private since Saturday. Everyone feared she might not pull through, and that was the reality they faced.”
Radar Online reported that the situation was more dire than originally thought, with medical personnel administering a NARCAN injection to revive her at her home. Fortunately, Madonna was discharged and has since been recovering at home. Her celebratory tour has garnered a lot of admiration for her look, especially after she shared a series of stunning photos from the tour.
The Paris leg of her tour has especially caught attention, with fans lavishing her with compliments, including one who called her “the most beautiful woman in the world”. Renowned fashion designer Donatella Versace also praised her longtime friend, calling her “the most beautiful”.
