Many times we have convinced ourselves that dogs are our best friends.
They would come to our aid even if it meant something bad would happen to them.
That’s what a this heroic dog did. She stood up to the mountain lion to save her owner.

Erin Wilson from California is the happy owner of a dog named Eva.
When they spent the day walking along the river one day, they couldn’t even imagine what could happen to them.
As the Sacramento Bee reports, the mountain lion attacked Erin, who immediately called her dog Eva for help.

Eva immediately pounced on the mountain lion to help her owner.
It was not an easy task at all, so Erin tried in every way to get herself and her dog out of this danger.
The lion grabbed the dog by the head and Erin had to react so that the lion would release the dog.
Unfortunately, the dog suffered head wounds, but they successfully got out of there.

Eva ended up being treated in the hospital, and Erin collected donations to be able to pay for it all.
Eva’s health is seriously impaired, as Erin says.

Patrick Foy of the Department of Fish and Wildlife said it is almost certain that the dog saved its owner’s life.
Erin is also convinced of this and says that she owes her life.
This is just another proof that dogs are our best friends that we should love and cherish all our lives.
