A fisherman saved a penguin’s life 10 years ago. This Magellanic penguin Dindim apparently never forgot that. Every year he travels to see his savior again.
Joao Pereira de Souza is the man who saved this incredible animal. He gave him a second chance at life.
While the penguin was recovering, the fisherman constantly fed it and took care of it. He also gave him a name.
After he had fully recovered, the fisherman decided to release him into his natural habitat. Still, the penguin wanted to stay. That’s what Joao told the Indepedent.
For months he was not separated from his savior. However, after a year he left. But that was not their final parting.
He came back soon. And not only then, he returned several times over the next few years.
The fisherman is aware that this penguin loves him and thanks him. Also, he loves him too.
Krajewski, a biologist professor, said that this surprised him a lot. He believes that Dindim considers the fishermen his family. He made that statement to Globo TV.
Although people didn’t believe that the penguin would keep coming back, they were wrong.
