Sometimes, when you rescue an animal, they return the favor, as one man discovered when his adopted dogs became his saviors.
Robert McGowan, a man with a compassionate heart, encountered two pit bulls at a local shelter. These dogs had endured a challenging life and were left without a home. One evening, Robert was in his garage when four strangers suddenly attacked him. They physically assaulted him, leaving him with a black eye, and were determined to steal his car. The assailants demanded the car keys, and Robert informed them that the keys were inside the garage. Little did they know what awaited them there.
In a swift and courageous response, the two pit bulls came to their owner’s defense, barking fiercely and chasing the attackers away.
Robert recounted the incident, saying: “They chased them out. My girls ran into the garage and stood over me. They stood there barking, making it clear that no one was going to hurt me anymore. The four people took off”.
Despite the breed’s reputation, Robert emphasized that these dogs are gentle and not aggressive. However, they will not hesitate to protect their loved ones when faced with a threat.
